Debra Flint

Debra Flint is an ordained Deacon in full connection with the United Methodist Church. She is also a Gestalt Pastoral Care minister, spiritual director, trauma therapist, retreat leader and teacher. Her GPC practice is based in New Castle, Pennsylvania at The Quiet, a small retreat house and counseling center. Debra has worked for the local church as well as a number of not-for-profit organizations. She has expertise in geriatrics, trauma care, and hospice.

Debra first encountered GPC at an “Opening to Grace” retreat led by Tilda Norberg in 2006. The profound inner healing experienced on that retreat led to her decision to begin the GPC Foundation Course in 2007. Since that time, Debra has led “Opening to Grace” Retreats and will be teaching the Foundation Course in the Fall of 2018.

Debra has a Master’s degree in Social Work from West Virginia University and completed her divinity training at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and Drew University. She is a licensed clinical social worker with extensive training in trauma work. She is trained and certified in EMDR and has studied Trauma Focused CBT as well.
