Dave Janvier, MA, LPC, CST, GPCM

Dave earned a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling, is credentialed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Licensed Professional Counselor, has advanced work in Sex Therapy from the Institute of Sexual Wholeness at Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, obtained advanced training at the Gestalt Institute of Pittsburgh and is a Gestalt Pastoral Care Minister.
However, the most important credential is the work of the Holy in his life.

Dave first encountered Jesus in middle school and has been on a healing journey ever since--both personally and professionally. Dave’s passion and calling has been one of introducing the healing ministry of Jesus and walking alongside those who are wounded and hurting within the Church and in the counseling setting. As a Licensed Therapist, Certified Sex Therapist and Gestalt Pastoral Care Minister, Dave integrates the ministry of GPC into his private practice. The integration of faith and therapy has been Dave’s life work with the goal of facilitating a process in which individuals are able to journey deeper with Jesus in experiencing wholeness, healing, freedom and joy.

Integration is at the heart of healing and health--especially the integrative functioning of the brain. Dave utilizes the findings of neuroscience to enhance the work of GPC and to undergird the efficacy of the process. It is astonishing to apply the scriptures on healing and the ministry of Jesus along with the knowledge of how the brain and body function together to reveal the redemptive work of God.

Dave enjoys teaching, training and speaking. He has been guest lecturer at several colleges and universities and has presented at academic conferences. In addition, he provides training for churches and parachurch ministries. He enjoys and is blessed by leading Opening to Grace retreats.

Dave is married and has two children. He enjoys reading, being creative with faux stained glass and acting silly with his kids.
