Opening to Grace Retreats

An Opening to Grace Retreat is a time to let go, let down, rest, draw strength from the gathered church and allow others to pray for your healing.  Depending on the length of time of the retreat, there is often time for worship, solitude and enjoying the out-of-doors.

Our faith is that Jesus nurtures and heals each person differently, and that God’s transforming love is offered to you as you open up to it.  You can expect the leader to employ both spiritual and psychological insights as you work with your body, emotions and spirit.

You will have time to be the focus of the group if you request it, and you will be free to decide for yourself if, when, and how to fully participate.

At most retreats, several places are reserved for observer-intercessors who are free to participate fully with the exception of group time focused on their own healing.  If you decide on this option, you may find that you receive a great deal by agreeing to watch and pray.  We believe that your prayer will make a vital difference to the group as well.

The cost of attending an Opening to Grace retreat varies depending upon the geographic location, length of retreat (one day or weekend), and the cost of ancillary amenities such as use of a retreat house, food, and so on.

GPC is a simple and natural process
which is fundamentally a ministry of Christian healing
rather than a spiritualized approach to psychotherapy.
